Fresno DO - Warehouse Worker

About the role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager I, the Warehouse Worker performs work in the receipt, storage, inventory and issue of Lottery tickets and related materials. The Worker may also receive supervision and guidance from the Warehouse Manager II and the Materials and Stores Supervisor. This position requires a current Warehouse Worker exam. It is headquartered at the Fresno District Office and is not eligible for telework.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, inventory, and issue Lottery tickets and related materials.
• Work independently.
• Maintain a standard warehouse environment, including potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, and/or debris.
• Travel occasionally as needed.
• Follow safety protocols for lifting and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
• Perform inventory taking and maintain inventory records.

Requirements

• Current Warehouse Worker examination eligibility (must have a valid exam score).
• Possess a valid California Driver’s License (CDL) and provide CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements/restrictions on the application.
• Clear background investigation.
• Medical clearance prior to hire.
• Drug test clearance prior to hire.
• Meet the Minimum Qualifications outlined in the Classification Specification (Warehouse Worker).

Desirable Qualifications

• At least one year of experience assisting in the receipt, storage, or issue of materials from a centralized stockroom or warehouse.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow safety protocols for lifting and caring for loads upward of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in an environment that requires tolerance of normal warehouse conditions including heat, cold, dust, and/or debris.
• Knowledge of methods of taking inventories and maintaining inventory records.
• Bilingual skills are desirable but not required.
