About the role

The Warehouse Labor employee is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through the safe handling, storage, and transportation of agronomy products. This position helps maintain accurate inventory, prepare customer and intercompany shipments, assist with seed treatment operations, and ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to company standards. The Equity is an independent ag cooperative headquartered in Effingham, Illinois with over 600 employees, 22 locations across central Illinois and southwest Indiana, and divisions including Agronomy, Grain, Feed & Livestock, Energy, two Retail Stores, a Precision Agronomy dealership, and a drone sprayer business. Located at 1203 W Niccum Ave Ste 4218, Effingham, IL 62401, reporting to the Seed & Crop Protection Director.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies and workplace safety procedures.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks safely and efficiently.
• Palletize, organize, and prepare shipments for transfer to other locations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and verification of all inbound and outbound seed shipments.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of physical seed inventory.
• Assist with seed bean treatment operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety requirements.
• Operate company vehicles and transport agronomy products between Equity locations.
• Responsible for maintaining company equipment according to company standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Agricultural background with exposure to Agri-business involving ag supplies and crop inputs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivating personality and team-building skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with management and customers.
• Class A CDL with X endorsement.

Pay

$20-$28 per hour
