Fresh Cuts Associate - Day Shift

Starting pay: $16.40 per hour. Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM start time; may begin earlier with overtime. Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs to standard rate for assigned production line and communicates to leadership when company standard is not met.
• Monitors production performance KPIs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workspace.
• Ensures work area is washdown ready for sanitation, including floor, tables, cutting boards, and equipment.
• Maintains quality specifications of unfinished products.
• Prepares, cuts, and repacks product per customers’ specifications.
• Operates machinery such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others.
• Cleans and sanitizes the work area while adhering to sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
• Follows GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Related industry experience preferred.
• General understanding of processing procedures preferred.
• Experience working in a high-volume warehouse/production facility preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP policy preferred.
• Ability to use and handle sharp knives, peelers, and hand machines.

Skills

• Effective communication.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to learn lean manufacturing processes.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift and/or move 25 lb. to 50 lb.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stoop and bend frequently.
