Starting base pay rate: $18.00 per hour.

About the role

The Production Associate aids the line leader with daily transactions and maintains a safe, organized, clean, and efficient operation on their production line. They proactively identify and analyze problems, recommending appropriate actions to improve performance. The role ensures high-quality produce is prepared and available for daily runs at acceptable productivity levels.

Responsibilities

• Performs to standard rate for assigned production line and communicates to leadership when company standard is not met.
• Monitors production performance KPIs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workspace, ensuring the work area is washdown ready for sanitation (including floors, tables, cutting boards, and equipment).
• Maintains quality specifications of unfinished products.
• Prepares, cuts, and repacks product per customers’ specifications.
• Operates machinery such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others.
• Cleans and sanitizes the work area while adhering to sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
• Follows GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Related industry experience preferred.
• General understanding of processing procedures preferred.
• Experience working in a high-volume warehouse/production facility preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP policy preferred.
• Ability to use and handle sharp knives, peelers, and hand machines.

Skills

• Effective communication.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to learn lean manufacturing processes.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift and/or move 25–50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stoop and bend frequently.
