About the Role

  • Develop and operate Air/Ocean and Export service offerings.
  • Utilize relationships, experience, problem solving, and analytical skills to assist customers.
  • Directly interact with clients and suppliers to ensure high performance in the supply chain.
  • Arrange inbound/outbound cargo shipments from start to finish.
  • Communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Investigate and resolve problem shipments.
  • Support and lead the department with freight management functions involving import and export aspects of international transportation.

Coordinate the routing of import and export bookings with airline and ocean carriers.

Timely preparation of rates and quotes for customers and overseas agents.

Support the development of existing and new customers by working closely with Branch Manager and the entire sales organization.

Collaborate and build relationships with customers, carriers, and agent representatives regarding air, ocean, import, and export products to enhance service competitiveness.

Prepare all necessary shipping documentation related to international bookings and process import/export documentation to clearing agents, including HAWB's, MAWB's, AES's, Manifest, Shipping Instructions, Haz Cargo Decl., Bill of Ladings, and Certificate of Origin, etc.

Dispatch pick-ups to authorized agents and drayage companies, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies, clearing agents, warehouses, and other parties involved in the shipment.

Track and trace shipments, research and resolve any issues regarding billing or shipping discrepancies, and communicate timely correspondence to both customers and vendors.

Act as a liaison with Custom Brokers and agents, along with Ocean and Air Terminal Operators.

Support branches' quarterly metrics while achieving individual metrics.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Adhere to established policies and procedures.

Freight Forwarding and Regulatory Requirements

Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding and regulatory requirements.

Ability to work in a blended operations and customer development role.

Operations skills and experience in the trucking and freight forwarding industry.

Ability to negotiate rates to route freight in the most cost-effective manner.

Self-motivated, assertive, and responsive to branch metrics.

Customer-service oriented.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize work.

MS Office skills.
