Freight Inspector

Position Overview: Inspect and investigate shipment characteristics to ensure compliance with all freight rules and regulations, including NMFC applications, to recover revenue. Review dimensional scan data and computer reports to verify commodities and support freight analysis. Communicate process updates, participate in meetings, and develop positive relationships with team members. Assist regional and district leadership as needed, while adhering to laws and company policies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalentPreferred transportation operations experienceStrong communication, organizational, and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and basic math, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExperience with transportation/freight management systems preferredAbility to make decisions quickly, work independently or in teams, and climb trailers from ground level Key Duties: Review shipment data for compliance, support freight analysis, communicate process updates, and assist with regional operations.
