Freight Forwarder, Air Export

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels
• Prepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
• Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments
• Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
• Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws

Educational background / Work experience

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in Freight Forwarding is highly desirable

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations

• Fluency in English is required
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus

Computer Literacy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred

Pay and Benefits

• Expected base pay range: $22.50 - $30.50 per hour
• Benefits include medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings accounts (HSAs) (for eligible plans), and short- and long-term disability coverage.
• Financial benefits include participation in the DSV 401(k) plan, which provides company matching contributions of up to 5%.
