Freight Flow Associate-1

About the role

You will operate a forklift and manage merchandise flow within a Sam's Club facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and member service while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets according to company standards.
• Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, managing inventory flow and correcting shelf capacities.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following procedures for hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, setting up displays, and processing defective goods.
• Ensure club pick-up orders are accurately filled, staged, and picked within acceptable timeframes.
• Handle inventory by tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, controlling shrinkage, and reporting poor inventory practices.
• Proactively assist members with technology services and identify shrink opportunities or product issues.

• Deliver results with a customer-first mindset, balancing short- and long-term priorities while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
• Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Customer service experience.

• Experience supervising a team.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may apply, ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
