Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative

Essential Functions

  • Tender accept/reject loads, creates loads, sets appointments, dispatches, tracks and traces loads, root cause problem solves issues, and resolves/communicates to carrier and/or customer as appropriate
  • Identifies and Develops relationships with transportation providers to ensure adequate coverage to maximize penetration of customer freight portfolio through soliciting capacity
  • Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling of coverage for loads to ensure proper all customer's needs are met in the agreed upon time period

  • Continuous improvement in all segments of the business
  • Schedules and dispatches while ensuring compliance of Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Maintains a positive employee related climate and maintains a customer satisfaction index at a World Class Level while having availability 24/7/365 for responsibilities

  • Clear understanding of SMS legacy system
  • Understanding of assigned customer, customer product and distribution requirements

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
  • Three (3) years or more business experience required
  • Working knowledge of Transportation Industry, carrier modes & services and basic Supply Chain design and functionality
  • Advanced required Knowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated PC skills in MS Access, Excel, Word
  • Clear understanding of SMS legacy system
  • Understanding of assigned customer, customer product and distribution requirements

Pay and Benefits

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

  • Pay Type: Salaried
  • Minimum Pay Range: $50,000
  • Maximum Pay Range: $55,000
