Freezer Warehouse Order Selector

About the role

This role is responsible to complete orders by selecting products from the warehouse racks and to assemble, palletize and/or shrink wrap products/pallets for customer orders. An Order Selector may be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment. This position is in the freezer department with temperatures below zero degrees.

Responsibilities

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock/low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior Order Selecting Experience Preferred.
• Prior experience operating power industrial equipment preferred.
• Must perform assigned tasks accurately while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature areas as assigned (e.g. freezer, coolers, dry conditions).
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent sitting, walking and standing.
• Use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls.
• Use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls.
• Frequent walking, talking, crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching with the hands and arms.
• Lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment.
• Exposure to noise levels in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
• Subject to working weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned.
• Travel requirements vary by assignment.

Pay

$22 per hour, paid weekly

Schedule

1st Shift, Mondays and Saturdays off! Tuesday - Friday: 10:30 AM to finish Sunday: 9:00 AM to finish
