About the role

We are seeking a results-driven Freelance Recruiter to help scale our team by identifying, sourcing, and hiring top-tier talent. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role with a strong focus on sourcing passive candidates within the New York market.

Responsibilities

• Proactively search and engage qualified candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking, and direct outreach.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment: screen resumes, conduct initial interview screens, and evaluate candidate fit regarding skills, culture, and salary expectations.
• Partner with team leads to define role requirements, write compelling job descriptions, and align on hiring timelines.
• Coordinate interview schedules, gather feedback, and ensure a seamless, high-touch experience for all applicants from outreach to offer.

Requirements

• 3+ years of agency or in-house recruiting experience (tech, corporate, or specialized roles preferred).
• Remote, but aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST) work hours to interview candidates and collaborate with New York-based leadership.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby, alongside LinkedIn Recruiter.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of closing hard-to-fill positions.

Pay

Freelance / 1099 Contract (Hourly rate, retainer, or per-placement commission basis—open to negotiation based on experience).

Schedule

Flexible, project-based (approximately 15–30 hours/week).
