About the role

Join a dynamic music project at its inception, collaborating closely with a singer-songwriter and composer based in Portugal who is building an original, internationally focused artistic universe. This long-term initiative aims to consistently release music, craft cinematic visuals, and grow a global audience through engaging short-form video content. The role is ideal for a creative video editor passionate about storytelling, eager to experiment, and invested in shaping a unique visual identity for music across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You will play a key part in developing content that stands out, resonates emotionally, and supports the project's evolution from online presence to live performances worldwide.

Deliverables

  • Edit and produce short-form videos tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, aligned with the project's artistic vision.
  • Collaborate on creative concepts, bringing original ideas and a storytelling approach to each video.
  • Experiment with editing styles, effects, and pacing to enhance audience engagement and reinforce the project's unique identity.
  • Work closely with the artist to translate music and narrative into compelling visual content.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for ongoing content strategy.
  • Deliver initial test video(s) as part of a paid trial, with the potential for ongoing collaboration.

Requirements

  • Proven experience editing short-form video content for social media platforms, especially within music or creative industries.
  • Strong creative vision and ability to contribute original ideas beyond basic editing.
  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Understanding of current trends and best practices for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Excellent sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
  • Collaborative mindset, open to feedback, and willingness to experiment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, French, or Portuguese.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to building a long-term creative partnership.
