Freelance Software Engineer (US Remote)

About the role

This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced software engineer to join a dynamic IT consulting environment, supporting a range of client projects. The role focuses on architecting and developing scalable software solutions, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical roadmaps, and leading technical discussions with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Arcitect and develop scalable, maintainable software solutions for diverse client projects
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable roadmaps
• Lead client-facing meetings to gather requirements and present technical solutions
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Advis[e] stakeholders on best practices in CI/CD, testing, and modern system design
• Ensure high standards of code quality, documentation, and system reliability

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Prior experience in IT consulting or client-facing technical roles
• Proficiency in React, Python (Django or Flask), AWS, and full-stack development
• Strong background in cloud architecture and modern system design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card required
