About the role
We are looking for PhD-qualified Microbiology experts to collaborate on a client-led initiative focused on molecular biology and genetic sequence design.
Responsibilities
- Designing molecular biology components such as DNA primers, plasmids, RNA sequences, repair templates, and other genetic constructs.
- Creating and validating research workflows used in experimental planning and genetic engineering.
- Evaluating AI-generated molecular biology outputs for scientific accuracy, feasibility, and completeness.
- Developing expert reviews, annotations, and evaluation criteria to improve AI performance in molecular biology tasks.
- Providing domain expertise to help build high-quality datasets for advanced Generative AI systems.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams to ensure scientific rigor across AI-generated content.
Requirements
- A PhD in Microbiology or a closely related discipline.
- Strong expertise in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, or synthetic biology.
- Demonstrated experience designing DNA sequences, primers, plasmids, RNA constructs, repair templates, or related molecular biology workflows.
- A strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals, especially in journals like Nature, bioRxiv, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL), eLife, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and scientific reasoning skills.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Experience working with AI, computational biology, bioinformatics, or technical research teams is a plus but not required.
