Freelance In-Person Event Specialist - Warren, NJ

Responsibilities

  • Cover all event details, ship event materials, and arrange staffing
  • Be the onsite Event Coordinator for team-building, social impact activities, and events
  • Align with the on-site team, solve problems, and ensure high-quality customer experience
  • Manage check-in process and provide a warm welcome to guests
  • Escalate issues to the Events Team as necessary
  • Send consistent updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event
  • Breakdown after the event, cleaning the site and repackaging/shipping materials
  • Pack supplies and add shipping labels, including loading boxes

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills
  • Based in Warren, NJ
  • Schedule flexibility with availability to work on a contract per-event basis, as needed
  • Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events
  • Resourcefulness, ability to handle pressure, and solution-mindedness in ambiguous situations
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Self-starter with organization and attention to detail
  • Love building relationships with customers and enjoying customer service
  • Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
  • Willing and eager to travel to various areas of the local region
  • Super strong interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in fast-paced situations
  • Able to wear many hats and take on varied tasks and projects
  • Physical demands: able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs., stand for an extended period

Qualifications
