Our editors help turn practical advice, timely trends, product-focused coverage, and expert-informed guidance into clear, useful stories that help readers make the most of their homes, gardens, and time outdoors.

What You'll Do as an Editor

• Edit and publish articles with a focus on accuracy, clarity, structure, and voice
• Provide constructive, actionable feedback that helps writers strengthen their work
• Coordinate coverage and assignments with the content strategy and editorial teams
• Fact-check and verify key details, links, sources, and claims as needed
• Uphold brand-specific editorial standards, style guides, and publishing guidelines
• Keep content moving efficiently through the editing and publishing workflow

What We Offer

• Pay rate: $23–$25/hour, based on experience
• Paid editor assessment: $50 for a completed assessment
• Reliable pay: Twice-monthly payments

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional editorial experience in digital or print media, ideally covering home improvement, interior design, gardening, lifestyle, outdoor recreation, or closely related topics
• Strong line-editing, copy-editing, and fact-checking skills
• Experience building, editing, and publishing content in a CMS
• Familiarity with AP style
• Experience working with freelance writers and giving clear, constructive editorial feedback
