Freelance Event Brand Advisor - Charlotte, NC

About the Role

Headkount partners with leading prestige beauty brands to bring standout experiences to retail. We're engaging experienced, self-directed Brand Advisors for a short-term event project in Charlotte, NC on September 18th & 19th. This is a defined, project-based engagement with a set end — ideal for established freelance beauty professionals.

Event Locations

• Ulta 1885 Carolina Pavillion
• Ulta 1531 Pavillon at Kings Grant

Responsibilities

• Drive sales toward ambitious event targets during live in-store events
• Execute event mechanics — GWPs, TOAs, and the specific focus of each activation
• Bring high energy and expert client engagement that makes the event feel like an experience
• Rally and activate the store team so the whole floor is behind the event
• Represent premium national brands with polish and professionalism

Requirements

• Proven prestige beauty/retail selling experience and a track record of hitting aggressive sales goals
• Experience running or working beauty events and creating energy on a floor
• Ability to operate independently — manage your own approach to hitting sales targets without hand-holding
• Availability for the full set of event dates (September 18th & 19th)
• Reliable transportation to the event locations

Details

• This is an independent contractor (1099) engagement, not employment — you invoice for the project and are responsible for your own taxes.
• Compensation: flat day rate of $200 per event day, paid on completion.
• You'll receive an event brief and brand education materials; how you hit your goals on the floor is up to you.
