Freelance Campaign Copywriter

What You'll Do

  • Develop campaign headlines and advertising copy
  • Create hooks, messaging territories, and campaign extensions
  • Build tone-of-voice systems and messaging frameworks
  • Expand strategic and creative concepts into executable campaigns
  • Develop multiple routes, options, and variations
  • Write across digital, print, social, video, outdoor, experiential, and presentation formats
  • Support Creative Directors and Strategists throughout concept development

The Right Candidate

You are comfortable receiving a strategic insight, a campaign territory, a positioning statement, a creative concept, and turning it into headlines, hooks, messaging frameworks, campaign extensions, tone systems, and advertising executions.

You are not expected to lead the strategy. You are expected to help build the work. You know how to generate options, explore possibilities, and help ideas become campaigns.

Portfolio Requirements

  • Portfolio website or PDF
  • 3–5 examples of advertising campaign work
  • Examples demonstrating headline development and campaign expansion
  • Brief description of your role on each project
