Freelance AV assistant technicians in NYC (junior level work)

iProbe Multilingual Solutions, Inc. is a New York City based company seeking service-minded, polished junior professionals with a pro audio, video, or lighting education and a strong interest to work in AV. We are looking for freelancers to assist on jobs in the New York Metro area.

About the role

Work consists of helping with load-in, set-up, operation, strike, and load-out of audio, video, lighting, interpretation equipment, and sound isolation booths during events at hotels, conference centers, corporate offices, and museums. Systems are wireless (RF or IR).

Responsibilities

• Assist with load-in, set-up, operation, strike, and load-out of AV equipment
• Maintain a professional and polished image under all circumstances
• Work with clients and communicate effectively
• Lift 50+ lbs

Requirements

• Pro audio, video, or lighting education
• Strong interest in working in AV
• Prior live events and staging experience is a plus
• Understanding of VHF/UHF wireless systems and ability to identify sources of noise (a plus)
• Experience with lighting and DMX programming (a plus)
• Valid driver’s license and/or own vehicle (a plus)

Schedule

Freelance evening and weekend work; suitable for those with full-time employment looking for additional opportunities.
