Position Overview

Freedom Boat Club is seeking an energetic, personable, and service-minded Dockside Tour Specialist to support our sales and dockside operations teams throughout the South Florida market.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct engaging dockside tours for prospective members, showcasing the Freedom Boat Club experience, membership benefits, fleet offerings, and club amenities.
  • Build rapport with prospects, assess their boating interests and needs, and help identify qualified membership opportunities.
  • Support Membership Executives by coordinating tours, nurturing leads, capturing prospect information, and facilitating follow-up conversations and sales activities.
  • Deliver a welcoming, professional, and service-focused experience for prospects, members, and guests while serving as a positive ambassador for the Freedom Boat Club brand.
  • Aid in dockside operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment, supporting visitor hospitality, and coordinating with dock staff to ensure a seamless member and prospect experience.
  • Support boat shows, open houses, community events, and other marketing initiatives by engaging attendees, promoting club awareness, and generating qualified leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, tour outcomes, and follow-up needs, ensuring timely communication with the sales team.
  • Utilize approved communication and CRM tools to support sales and operational objectives while maintaining confidentiality of member, prospect, and company information.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, retail sales, event support, boating, recreation, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a wide variety of people.
  • Comfortable speaking with prospects, answering basic questions, and presenting information in a clear and enthusiastic manner.
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days as needed.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen, as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Boating experience or strong interest in boating, fishing, watersports, or the marine lifestyle.
  • Previous experience giving tours, hosting events, or working in a membership-based business.
  • Sales support, lead generation, appointment setting, or brand ambassador experience.
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the South Florida boating community, marinas, neighborhoods, and local events.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow into a larger sales, operations, or leadership role.
  • Ability to think creatively and help create positive outcomes for prospects, members, and teammates.

Working Conditions

  • This role will primarily work outdoors at Freedom Boat Club dock locations, marinas, events, and off-site activations.
  • Work may occur in sun, heat, humidity, wind, rain, and other South Florida weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working near and on the water.
  • May occasionally lift, carry, or move light event materials, signage, marketing collateral, or supplies.
  • Schedule may vary based on tour volume, events, seasonality, weather, and business needs.

Compensation

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $15/hr. and a commission target of $100 per executed member agreement. Actual earnings will depend on various factors, including your sales skills, experience, market conditions, and individual performance.
