Responsibilities
- Actively engages in the Catholic and Franciscan mission and identity of Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University by modeling the Franciscan Values, promoting justice from the communities we serve, and integrating the Catholic and Franciscan intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services.
- Prepares instruction that reflects stated course student learning outcomes.
- Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour.
- Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner.
- Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance, post grades in a timely manner.
- Implements curricular and instructional interventions.
- Develops student learning outcomes.
- Utilizes peer review and coaching.
- Applies what has been learned from formative and summative feedback on instruction.
- Presents at local, state, national and international professional conferences.
- Demonstrates publication of works identifying type (i.e., peer review), audience (i.e., journal and journal distribution), and focus (i.e., discovery, application and/or integrated knowledge focus).
- Participates in professional development activities to promote development in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
- Participates in community groups and organizations, as related to the College’s mission.
- Participates in committee work at the program, school, or institutional level (delineate roles and nature of participation).
- Advises students through feedback, coaching, remediation, and engagement.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of teaching experience, preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing plus 18 hours of Graduate credit in a related field; Master’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
