Major Activities
- Lead and coach a team of framers focusing on building customer relationships and creating custom framing solutions.
- Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.
- Develop and coach the team to sell effectively.
- Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
- Achieve and manage team KPIs, including sales and production workload.
- Manage inventory and execute shrink and safety programs as assigned.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Interview, on-board, coach, observe, and train new Team members; support Talent Development activities; participate in Performance Management activities; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
- Partner with MODs daily on framing and other tasks.
- Interact positively with colleagues and customers, maintaining a respectful and positive attitude.
- Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes, ensuring compliance with standards and budget.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to maintain a safe work environment.
- Help customers, locate products, and provide solutions.
- Assist with Omni-channel processes as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment
- Public retail store setting.
- Climate-controlled public areas and some stock rooms.
- Outdoor work if assigned (e.g., retrieving shopping carts, unloading trucks).
- Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
- Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
Minimum Type of Experience Required
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous custom framing experience preferred.
- Retail management experience preferred.
- Experience leading a sales team.
