Major Activities

  • Lead and coach a team of framers focusing on building customer relationships and creating custom framing solutions.
  • Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.
  • Develop and coach the team to sell effectively.
  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
  • Achieve and manage team KPIs, including sales and production workload.
  • Manage inventory and execute shrink and safety programs as assigned.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Interview, on-board, coach, observe, and train new Team members; support Talent Development activities; participate in Performance Management activities; utilize leadership competencies for self-development.
  • Partner with MODs daily on framing and other tasks.
  • Interact positively with colleagues and customers, maintaining a respectful and positive attitude.
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes, ensuring compliance with standards and budget.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Help customers, locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

  • Public retail store setting.
  • Climate-controlled public areas and some stock rooms.
  • Outdoor work if assigned (e.g., retrieving shopping carts, unloading trucks).
  • Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Minimum Type of Experience Required

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous custom framing experience preferred.
  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Experience leading a sales team.

Other Duties As Assigned

Includes but is not limited to assisting with interviewing, on-boarding, coaching, observing, and training of new Team members; participating in Talent Development activities; engaging in Performance Management activities; utilizing leadership competencies for self-development; partnering with Managers on Duty (MODs) on framing and other tasks; interacting positively with colleagues and customers; participating in truck unloading and stocking processes; following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs to maintain a safe work environment; helping customers, locating products, and providing solutions; assisting with Omni-channel processes as needed.
