About the Role
The Frame Builder (Weekday) position is located in Booneville, MS. As a Frame Builder, you will assemble pre-cut wood parts into frames for use on the upholstery lines, adhering to specifications and Standard Operating Procedures. You'll work at a pace to meet productivity requirements while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Practice safe work practices and demonstrate safe work habits throughout the facility.
- Adhere to Williams-Sonoma policies and perform duties with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
- Obtain pre-constructed frame parts by pushing, pulling, and lifting onto the workstation.
- Assemble frame parts ensuring they are square, level, and correctly oriented, using tools like hammers, nails, staples, and glue.
- Ensure all parts are ground level for a flush outside edge and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Meet quality requirements and productivity goals (minimum 6 pieces per hour, goal of 8 pieces per hour).
Requirements
- At least 1 year of frame building experience in upper-end upholstered furniture production.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and work with hands.
- Experience reading and understanding production tickets.
- Ability to interpret simple instructions from production manuals.
- Good communication skills (oral and written) in English.
- Ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
- 3 years’ experience building frames in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Ability to speak English and understand Spanish (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift frames weighing 50-60 lbs.
- Sit or stand for 10-hour periods.
- Bend and twist at waist and knees as required to build frames.
