FP&A Analyst, Global
Position Summary
The Global Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst must be willing to roll up their sleeves and own the work, from building models and pulling data to delivering insights that drive decisions. This role will support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis for a growing manufacturing organization. This role works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Support the annual budget and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes
Build, maintain, and improve financial models across revenue, expenses, and capital planning
Assist with scenario modeling and long-term financial planning
Perform detailed variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast/prior periods)
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Dig into data to understand root causes—not just report results
NetSuite Reporting & Data Management
Extract, validate, and analyze financial data from NetSuite ERP
Build and maintain reporting and dashboards using NetSuite and Excel
Improve data accuracy, reporting consistency, and automation
Partner with finance/IT to enhance NetSuite reporting capabilities
Manufacturing & Operational Support
Analyze cost drivers, including labor, materials, overhead, and inventory
Support margin and product profitability analysis
Track key KPIs such as: Gross margin Inventory turns Production utilization Cost variances (standard vs. actual)
Partner with operations to identify cost savings and efficiency improvements
Business Partnership
Work cross-functionally to support decision-making with actionable financial insights
Aid in pricing analysis, capital investments, and business case development
Communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
Special Projects
Support process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
Contribute to system enhancements and reporting improvements
Take ownership of ad hoc analysis and leadership requests
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required
Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or product-based companies preferred
Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working in both the details and the big picture
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into insights
Modern Tools Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities
Strong understanding of data analytics, dashboards, KPI development, and forecasting methodologies
Awareness of emerging finance technologies, AI-enabled analytics, and modern FP&A best practices
