Foundry Specialist (All Shifts)

About the role

Hubbell Power Systems (Connectors Location) – 1615 Moores St., Leeds, AL 35094.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in foundry including melting metal, pouring metal into molds, removing castings, dressing castings, moving foundry materials, and cleaning equipment and work areas.
• Move sand, castings, flasks, or other materials about the foundry by hand, using a wheelbarrow or cart, or loading them onto a conveyor.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Operate and monitor machine(s).
• Execute setup of machines for production.
• Develop skill in various production tasks to fill in as needed.
• Ensure quality of produced product.
• Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and operating instructions; utilize measuring tools daily.
• Follow routings, instruction sheets, blueprints, or other instructions to manufacture product at required quality levels.
• Perform basic inspection of assembled product to ensure it meets quality standards.

Requirements

• Background in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required.
• Physically able to handle heavy items (lifting, pushing, pulling, positioning).
• Able to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's Timekeeping Policy and all other company policies.
• Able to consistently stand for entire shift.
