About the role

You will independently diagnose complex issues, fabricate and modify components, and support continuous operations through preventive maintenance, emergency response, and equipment installations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance, repair, installation, and fabrication duties requiring considerable initiative, ingenuity, judgment, and independent decision-making under general supervision.
  • Maintains, repairs, rebuilds, installs, and tests machine tools, special-purpose machinery, foundry equipment, mechanical systems, elevators, floors, bins, and related industrial equipment.
  • Sets up, operates, and performs complex machining operations using lathes, milling machines, planers, shapers, drill presses, band saws, jointers, and other shop equipment to fabricate, modify, and repair precision parts.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical malfunctions; determines root causes, performs tear-downs and reassembly, and completes repairs to minimize downtime and prevent production interruptions.
  • Fabricates and repairs holding jigs, fixtures, flasks, belts, hand truck bodies, chutes, hoppers, pans, and other production-related equipment from verbal instructions, samples, drawings, or measurements.
  • Performs plumbing, pipefitting, welding, cutting, rigging, and general maintenance activities, utilizing precision measuring instruments and a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Services, repairs, and maintains complex industrial electrical systems, including automatic controls, electronic controls, and plant-wide electrical equipment.
  • Makes calculations for layouts, installations, and maintenance projects, responds to emergency service calls as needed, and may develop original production setups and solutions to unique operational challenges.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman's Card in industrial maintenance or equivalent experience (at least 4+ years of maintenance experience)
  • Knowledge of high or low voltage electrical work is preferred
  • CNC experience is preferred
  • PLC experience is preferred
  • Welding knowledge and skill to perform various welding functions
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, written specifications, charts, and tables
  • Ability to work in hot, dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment
  • Comfortable working in tight spots when needed
  • Knowledge of pipefitting functions
  • Must be able to run power industrial equipment including tow motors, high lifts, sweepers, scrubbers, golf carts, lawn mower, tractor, etc.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and twist at the waist. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist consistently throughout shift.
  • Steel-toed footwear and metatarsal covers are required PPE

Pay

The hourly pay for this role is $30.69/hour.

Schedule

1st Shift: 5:30am – 1:30pm, Monday – Friday (often until 3:30pm Monday – Thursdays). Overtime as needed.
