About the role

A high-growth tech startup is seeking a Founding Product Marketer to build the marketing function from the ground up. This individual will operate as a team of one, collaborating directly with the founder and leveraging agency partners. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in end-to-end positioning, messaging, and launches, with a strong preference for those experienced in enterprise sales and deeply integrated AI-native workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the company's positioning and messaging across all channels—website, sales materials, social, and every customer touchpoint—to establish the company as the category leader in AI for heavy industry.
  • Build sales enablement materials that move deals forward: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and competitive intelligence.
  • Translate new product capabilities into compelling launches and communications, working closely with product and engineering teams.
  • Turn customer deployments into credible proof points and case studies tailored for a technical industrial audience.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple agency partners (content, events, social media) as execution arms, providing strategic direction and quality control.
  • Run a consistent content rhythm across LinkedIn, website, and email, acting as the "brain" behind the company’s messaging and communication style.
  • Integrate AI into every marketing workflow to maximize output and efficiency as a solo operator.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of B2B marketing experience, with a focus on product marketing in the tech sector.
  • Experience in high-growth startups.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a high taste bar; writing samples or portfolio pieces will be requested.
  • Fluency with AI tools in daily marketing workflows; candidates must provide specific examples of their use.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building playbooks from scratch.
  • Strong judgment on quality and unwillingness to offload critical thinking to AI.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration with sales, product, and engineering teams.
  • End-to-end ownership of projects, with experience shipping initiatives soup-to-nuts rather than contributing to a piece of a larger team’s work.
  • At least one stint of 2+ years where you built something meaningful and saw measurable results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in enterprise sales environments.
  • Agency and vendor management experience.
  • A strong background in customer marketing, with rigorous case study and customer storytelling work.
