Alpaca Health enables clinicians to become entrepreneurs, starting in autism care. We provide AI-powered software, payer contracting, and full back-office infrastructure to help clinicians launch and scale their own clinics. We’ve raised over $14M in funding and are building for long-term category leadership.
Role: Founding Product Designer
- Own the 0→1 build of our parent-facing portal — from concept to live product
- Design a seamless, consumer-grade experience for families navigating care (intake, scheduling, communication, payments)
- Elevate our provider-facing EHR to feel intuitive, fast, and delightful — not clunky healthcare software
- Conduct user interviews with parents, BCBAs, and staff to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and unmet needs
- Rapidly prototype and test user flows; iterate based on real usage and feedback
- Define product requirements, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship quickly alongside engineering
- Use AI tools (e.g., prototyping, workflow automation, copilots) to accelerate development and unlock new product capabilities
- Build systems that scale — not just features — including onboarding flows, engagement loops, and operational tooling
- Partner cross-functionally with ops, clinical, and growth teams to ensure product drives real outcomes (faster start of care, better retention, higher utilization)
Who You Are
- You are extremely product-minded and execution-driven — you don’t just define features, you build and ship
- You have a strong intuition for consumer products and can bring that bar into healthcare
- You’re comfortable in ambiguity and energized by 0→1 environments
- You talk to users constantly and turn insights into product decisions
- You have a bias for action and move fast without sacrificing quality
- You are fluent with modern AI tools and use them as a force multiplier in your workflow
- You care deeply about building products that actually improve people’s lives, not just internal tools
- You operate like an owner and hold a high bar for both yourself and the team
