Founding Forward Deployed Engineer (up to $220k)

About the role

This is the founding Forward Deployed Engineer role, a rare blend of deep technical ownership and direct customer impact. You'll be the bridge between complex industrial operations and a scalable AI product, working directly with the CEO and CTO to shape the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex operational challenges from $1B+ manufacturers into intuitive, scalable product features.
• Prototype and write production-grade code to implement solutions, owning the full development cycle from concept to deployment.
• Lead end-to-end customer engagements, from initial scoping and integration to training and executive alignment.
• Arcitect reusable features, data models, and playbooks that transform bespoke solutions into core product capabilities.
• Directly influence the product roadmap, working with the CEO and CTO to define the future of AI in industrial operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time professional experience, with a track record of shipping production code.
• A product architect mindset: you translate complex user problems into simple, elegant, and scalable software solutions.
• Proven ability to prototype and write production-ready code, not just hand off specifications.
• Systems-level thinking: you design for scale, automation, and data-driven processes across code and operations.
• Fluency in German is a significant advantage, given the current customer base.
