About the role
The Founding Fellow Program is a hands-on internship designed to immerse emerging talent in the real-world operations of a DOD contractor. It covers practical processes such as hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day work activities.
Responsibilities
- Pick up a high-level understanding of how the defense industry operates.
- Learn the candidate lifecycle, from job postings to interviews and offers.
- Understand the security clearance and eligibility process, including SF-86 forms.
- Learn how new hires are set up with equipment, accounts, and system access.
- Gain security awareness and information handling basics.
- Participate in ethics and standards of conduct training.
- Observe company systems and tools training.
- Get an introduction to compliance essentials, including rules and resources.
- Shadow managers and team leads to observe daily operations.
- Watch task assignment, tracking, and reporting processes.
- Ask questions and build relationships with mentors across departments.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen (required for work supporting DOD contracts).
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Basic comfort with standard productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office / collaboration platforms).
