Founding Deployment Strategist
About the role
This role bridges Sapien and its customer finance orgs, deploying intelligent solutions to streamline financial workflows. Key responsibilities include customer implementations, embedding with finance teams, and cross-functional impact.
Responsibilities
- Own customer implementations end-to-end: scoping, workflow mapping, deployment, training, and optimization.
- Embed with finance teams to learn their actual operations and transform those workflows onto Sapien.
- Build the deployment playbook from zero: repeatable frameworks for onboarding, integrating, and scaling Sapien across organizations.
- Arm the sales team with insights from the field, including real customer pain points, objections, success stories, and the language CFOs use.
- Work directly with engineering to set the product roadmap, translating real finance workflows into product requirements, stress-testing new features, and pushing for what customers need.
- Partner with the founders on customer materials, internal strategy, and high-priority initiatives.
Requirements
A finance and operating background with 2–6 years in banking, private equity, consulting, or a similar analytical role. Knowledge of financial statements, operating metrics, and corporate finance is essential. Strong customer-facing skills, ability to build trust, and a focus on system-building rather than just delivering outputs.
Qualifications
AI-native: daily use of AI tools, quick adoption of new technologies, and a desire to share knowledge. High agency: proactive problem-solving, identifying what needs to be done, and ensuring tasks are completed with attention to detail.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle ambiguity, and a strategic mindset. Proficiency in financial analysis and a deep understanding of corporate finance principles.

Flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a supportive company culture.
