Founding Content and Growth Lead
About the role
High-ownership, high-latitude role to build a movement and turn curiosity into conviction for Pylon’s mortgage infrastructure. Requires a genuine point of view, mechanical understanding of platforms, and willingness to experiment audaciously.
Key Responsibilities
Build and own audience growth across X, LinkedIn, and other channels. Define strategy, scale following, and optimize based on results.
Produce opinionated, attention-earning content (e.g., takes on mortgage industry, original data, creative formats). Focus on making people think differently.
Work directly with CEO to amplify his personal brand alongside your own, translating company insights into content for customers, talent, and investors.
Run end-to-end growth experiments (hypothesis, test, analyze, iterate) with budget and autonomy.
Identify and activate channels where buyers are (communities, newsletters, podcasts, events), building relationships with influential writers and operators.
Requirements
Strong taste for great content and awareness of what misses.
Proven track record of growing something from zero (account, community, product) with specific success strategies.
Fluency as a social media practitioner—understand platform distribution mechanics and engineer content accordingly.
Experience growing a following from zero with concrete examples of key moves.
Hands-on experience building content systems using AI (not just writing captions with ChatGPT).
Ability to write compelling arguments, narratives, and ideas that drive shares.
Analytical ownership: tracking performance, understanding why it works, and reporting insights to inform next steps.
Comfortable being a face of the brand.
