About the role
We are seeking a communications operator to bridge the gap between Imprint's current perception and its potential. This role requires someone with 8+ years of experience in PR, comms, content, or brand, ideally in-house at a startup or an agency. The ideal candidate will have real relationships with reporters, a taste for what builds credibility, fluency with modern tools, and a founder's instinct for leveraging opportunities.
What you'll do
Own the narrative engine: Draft bylines, posts, decks, talking points, and manifestos in our voice.
Build founder and executive profiles: Secure appearances for the CEO and key leaders at relevant events and on influential platforms.
Manufacture moments: Conceive and execute investor days, product reveals, and launches with prominent partners.
Start a media franchise: Produce recurring, reportable content and maintain a steady stream of original data and charts for journalists.
Run press yourself: Build genuine relationships with reporters covering fintech, payments, retail, and AI, and pitch them compelling stories.
Measure what works: Track and share-of-voice metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
What we look for
Real experience across PR, comms, content, and/or brand, preferably in-house at a startup or an agency.
A great writer capable of switching registers quickly, from tweets to pitches to long-form pieces.
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias to ship.
Taste for distinguishing between hype that builds credibility and hype that burns it.
Fluency with modern tools, including AI for drafting, research, and production.
A founder's instinct for leveraging opportunities.
