Founding AI Deployment Lead - US Market
Vocca · New York, NY · 3 wk ago
HybridInformation Technology$200k–$300k/yrFull-time
About the Role
Vocca builds AI voice agents that run the front desk for medical practices: answering calls, booking and rescheduling appointments, and freeing up staff to focus on care. We're hiring a founding operator to own deployment end-to-end in the US, starting fully hands-on, then building and leading the US deployment team. You’ll report directly to the CEO and shape the future of how patients and doctors connect.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and implement clients (hands-on first): Configure and bring signed accounts into production (setup, integrations, go-live), owning time-to-go-live and a high success rate.
- Own the post-sale ("everything but sales"): Handle success and account management for the first US accounts, driving retention and satisfaction while keeping the AE focused on hunting.
- Build the playbook and the team: Write the US ops/implementation playbook, then hire, structure, and manage the deployment team (~6-8 people by the end of 2027).
- Close the product loop: Bring sharp, field-driven product feedback back to the product team.
Expected Outcomes
- At 3 months: Achieve deep product mastery, configure and bring centers live independently, absorb deployment volume (~50 centers/month) with stable time-to-go-live, and develop a v1 onboarding/config playbook.
- At 6 months: Stabilize deployment capacity, finalize playbook v1, hire and ramp the first 2-3 deployers, and establish a product-feedback loop from the field.
- At 12 months: Deploy ~$6M ARR across US accounts, build and manage a team of ~6-8 deployers with clear role splits, and create a replicable US ops function that scales with sales.
Requirements
- 6+ years in fast-scaling tech, with autonomous experience in a startup or scale-up (or founding one).
- Deeply hands-on and technical: you think in systems and numbers, have built/tinkered with config, integrations, automation, or no-code, and can own product configuration end-to-end without engineering support.
- Strong commercial energy: credible with both directors and IT, able to lead a room, and communicate effectively.
- Founder mentality: high energy, low maintenance, resourceful, and capable of thriving in ambiguity.
- Leadership: ability to hire, structure, and grow a team as the function scales.
- Product acumen: translate field observations into actionable product feedback.
Nice to have: Experience in healthcare or with EMRs; prior people management.
What This Role Is NOT For
- Those who need a well-defined environment or struggle with ambiguity.
- Pure engineers who avoid customer interaction or strategists who prefer slides over hands-on work.
- Candidates who want to manage from day one (this role is hands-on first, team-building after 1-2 months).
Benefits
- A founding role in Vocca’s US launch, owning an entire function from scratch.
- Direct exposure to the CEO and founding team.
- Path from individual contributor to leader of the US deployment org.
- Steep learning curve across deployment, product, and team-building in a high-growth AI company.
- Entrepreneurial adventure with a supportive, high-energy, execution-focused team.
- Real responsibilities from day one in a fast-growing market (healthcare automation, voice AI).
Pay
$200k–$300k OTE, plus founding-team equity.
Schedule
Based in New York, ~3 days/week in the office.
