About the role
The role is for an Account Executive to build and manage the sales pipeline for Meridian, a software designed to automate the monthly closing process for accounting firms. The position requires a strong background in B2B sales, particularly in selling to accounting firms, and the ability to work with complex products.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and build your own pipeline through outbound, network, and inbound leads
- Run discovery calls, demos, and evaluation kickoffs with firm leadership and their teams
- Manage active client evaluations — weekly syncs, implementation support, tracking toward success metrics
- Closely work with the implementation team to ensure successful client evaluations and conversion
- Feed back market insights and help refine the sales playbook
Requirements
- 3–8 years of B2B sales experience with a track record of hitting quota
- Experience selling a technical product into a professional services buyer
- Comfortable running a long, consultative sales cycle
- Strong communication skills and ability to write well
- Keen interest in building something new and innovative
Qualifications
- Confidence in building your own pipeline without relying on leads to show up
- Understanding of the economics of running an accounting firm
- Ability to build relationships across the firm, including with founders, MDs, heads of tech, and controllers
Skills
- Technical understanding of Meridian and its integration with QuickBooks Online
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle long, complex sales cycles

Pay
The on-target earnings (OTE) range target for the role is $240k - $320k in New York, NY (base pay is 50% of OTE).
