About the role
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Foundation Waterproofer to oversee the entire waterproofing process during the construction of a foundation or basement. This includes applying sealant, installing a drainage system, and operating a skid loader.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the final accuracy and cleanup of the project
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
- Apply waterproofing sealant using hand application at critical junctions such as piping or joints
- Use a hydraulic sprayer to apply the sealant to larger areas
- Install drainage system
- Use a skid loader to cover the drainage tile with rock
- Perform basic laborer duties as needed
- Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Ability to work overtime
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years of related experience and/or training
- May require CDL in compliance within DOT guidelines
- OSHA Certification to operate skid loader
- Prior experience with or knowledge of hydraulic sprayers
- Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and willingness to travel
- Ability to understand and communicate in basic English
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form, or via DRH applications
Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance, and stoop, crouch, or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
- Regular exposure to extreme weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and risk of electrical shock
- The noise level is generally loud
