The Foundation Operations Strategist
The Foundation Operations Strategist is responsible for the administration, compliance, and oversight of all donor-restricted and endowed funds for the Foundation.
- Ensures that restricted dollars are documented, tracked, allocated, and spent in accordance with donor intent, organizational policies, and applicable accounting standards.
- Performs advanced analytical, operational, and compliance functions, including fund reconciliation, financial reporting, audit preparation, and endowment management.
- Serves as the primary subject-matter expert and central point of contact for restricted-fund policies and processes, providing guidance, training, and technical support to internal stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with Finance, Foundation, and program leaders to support accurate fund usage, maintain financial integrity, and enable effective planning and decision-making across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a non-profit management, business accounting or related field.
- Experience: 4-6 years experience in database administration/management, donor/gift acknowledgement.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 5-7 years of experience in hospital philanthropy, development operations, or non-profit finance; Deep understanding of donor intent, non-profit accounting principles; Restricted funds administration, accounting knowledge and data management; Demonstrate influence without authority and building relationships across hospital systems; CRM proficiency (Excel and financial reporting tools).
