About the role
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Foundation Laborer to perform manual labor on residential construction sites, primarily focused on basements and foundations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the construction of residential basements, specifically footings, including setting wooden forms, digging, placing steel rebar, cutting, tying, carrying, and hand-shoveling
- Pour and finish concrete
- Load and deliver materials
- Set up and take down temporary structures
- Complete daily job site cleanup by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
- Adhere to the company’s operating safety policies and procedures
- Conduct business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase company goodwill and profit
- Work overtime as required
- Complete any duties assigned by the foreman
- Assist specialized contractors as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to two years of related experience and/or training
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and willingness to travel
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work well within a team
- Two or more years of experience
- Bilingual
