Foundation Laborer

About the role

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Foundation Laborer to perform manual labor on residential construction sites, primarily focused on basements and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the construction of residential basements, specifically footings, including setting wooden forms, digging, placing steel rebar, cutting, tying, carrying, and hand-shoveling
• Pour and finish concrete
• Load and deliver materials
• Set up and take down temporary structures
• Complete daily job site cleanup by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
• Adhere to the company’s operating safety policies and procedures
• Conduct business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase company goodwill and profit
• Work overtime as required
• Complete any duties assigned by the foreman
• Assist specialized contractors as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One to two years of related experience and/or training
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and willingness to travel
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work well within a team
• Two or more years of experience
• Bilingual
