About the role
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role will manage an individual portfolio of corporate and grateful patient prospects while providing leadership to the EAST Market fundraising program that capitalizes on current and emerging opportunities for support through major and legacy gifts. Responsible for developing strategies for effective donor engagement and stewardship to support operational funding priorities and will work closely with key operational, clinical, and administrative leaders. Serves as a leader to the EAST EHF Administrative Assistant and all EAST Gift Officers.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, cultivates, and solicits prospective donors for major and legacy gifts; tracks and monitors donor analytics; determines which prospects and donors to target to ensure mission-focused relationship building.
- Follows up, as appropriate, with each prospect or donor.
- Leverages relationships with colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
- Leads interactions with all EAST Market clinical and administrative teams and leadership as needed to understand and promote fundraising priorities and opportunities.
- Leads and guides efforts to build greater links with physicians, grateful patients, and prospective donors.
- Expands and manages EAST legacy giving portfolios and programs, while staying updated on trends of legacy giving.
- Manages the EHF Legacy Society by planning special events aimed to steward existing and cultivate new Legacy Society members.
- Manages EHF-East development team to prepare charitable gift illustrations for prospects and donors.
- Supplies necessary information to donors' attorneys and financial advisors.
- Provides leadership to EHF-East development team to create marketing material, e-newsletter, and website and participates in all aspects of direct mail appeals and events.
- Partners with system CDO, Essentia Health Legal Counsel, and Finance Offices regarding policy issues involving planned gifts.
- Analyzes program results and effectiveness of major and legacy giving program; develops reports and materials for presentation to boards; recommends annual goals and budget projections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license as verified through appropriate licensing agency.
- Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer.
- Proof of current motor vehicle insurance, including minimum State limits and without business exclusion.
Schedule
- Full-time (1.0 FTE)
- Hybrid - Day Rotation
- No weekends, holidays, or call obligation
- Possible remote/hybrid option
Pay
$101,379.20 - $152,068.80
