About the role

SAFY is seeking a full-time Foster Home Worker for our Canton division in Ohio. The role is split equally between case management and Divisional Office Manager tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Facility logs for monthly phone calls to foster homes without youth.
  • Conduct Quarterly Environmental Audits for assigned foster homes.
  • Complete Foster Parent evaluations in collaboration with Case Coordinators.
  • Prepare Annual Interim paperwork for foster homes.
  • Handle Home Study Addendums for foster home moves and additions.
  • Investigate Rules in assigned foster homes under supervision.
  • Track Foster Parents' training hours and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Complete Large Family Assessments and ITNA every six months.
  • Conduct foster parent training as needed.
  • Carry a caseload and assist with case management duties.
  • Be available for on-call rotations.
  • Assist with fostering foster parent support groups.
  • Support the recruiter with retention duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Plan and document activities in weekly logs.
  • Affiliate with planning and preparation for Divisional trainings, activities, and special events.
  • Meet with supervisor monthly for staffing.
  • Submit required reports on time.

Divisional Office Manager

  • Open and close the office daily.
  • Schedule and monitor psychiatry appointments for the Division.
  • Maintain the Open Bed List.
  • Register foster parents for training.
  • Handle Foster parent college and SACWIS Rules Violations.
  • Document I Binti/SAFY Portal entries.
  • Order office supplies and lunch for in-person foster parent classes.
  • Upload scanned documents into the SAFY Portal.
  • Manage F70 Letters.
  • Maintain the Divisional Newsletter.
  • Handle other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or related field.
  • One year of relevant experience with above-listed degree and experience in child welfare.
  • Valid driver license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance coverage for travel requirements.
