About the Role

As a Foster Care Coordinator in the Foster Care department, you will provide support, guidance, coordination, and intervention to your assigned youth and families in the Foster Care program. Performance will be measured by your individual outcomes, achieving your targets/goals, contributing to your program team/department, and embracing the organization’s culture.

A typical day includes being punctual and prepared, displaying trauma-informed practices in interactions with clients, peers, and leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance for all foster children’s documentation, managing health records, adhering to treatment plans and authorizations, and providing effective crisis response as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, guidance, and coordination to assigned youth and families in the Foster Care program.
  • Ensure documentation for foster children meets regulatory compliance.
  • Manage health records and ensure treatment plans and authorizations adhere to policy.
  • Provide effective crisis response as needed.
  • Display trauma-informed practices in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Valid Driver License and ability to meet credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Meets designation as a Qualified Professional in NC.
  • Must pass a drug screening test and an extensive background check.

This position will serve families in the Asheville-Hickory Region.

Pay

Starting pay range: $19.00–$22.12 hourly.
