The Supervisor at the Center for Public Management (OU CPM) at the University of Oklahoma is responsible for supervising, evaluating, and training staff involved with foster and adoptive families, as well as the OKDHS Child Welfare Program through the Center for Public Management Foster Care and Adoption Support Center.

Join the Center for Public Management (OU CPM) and be part of a team dedicated to making a daily impact in the lives of Oklahomans. This position involves supervision, evaluation, and training of staff working with foster and adoptive families, as well as the OKDHS Child Welfare Program.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, evaluate, and train staff working with foster and adoptive families, as well as the OKDHS Child Welfare Program.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding foster care and adoption services.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff and foster/adoptive families.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Center for Public Management to support the OKDHS Child Welfare Program.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to foster care and adoption services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of office management, administrative experience, or related field.
  • Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
  • 24 months professional level experience directly supervising staff.
  • 36 months professional level experience with DHS Child Welfare programs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Benefits

  • Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends).

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay Range: Targeted salary $48,000 - $49,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (may include some weekends).

  • Required.

Special Indications

  • Position subject to renewal based on availability of funds.
