Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or solution consulting to deliver AI-enabled business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working directly with business stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions, and driving impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions leveraging AI/ML and data engineering expertise.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, AI-driven solutions.
• Lead AI-enabled business transformation initiatives with a focus on Generative AI, Large Language Models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, models, and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or solution consulting roles.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, APIs and Microservices, and Cloud Platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable).
• Experience with Machine Learning and Data Science fundamentals, Generative AI, and Large Language Models.
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, and frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
• Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience in Data Engineering, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and Data Visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain knowledge in Commercial Real Estate (CRE), including experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Mortgage Loan Servicing
  • CMBS Asset Management
  • Special Servicing
  • Real Estate Investment Management
  • Distressed Assets Management
  • Portfolio Risk Management
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in consulting or customer-facing environments.
• Proven ability to manage ambiguity and solve complex business problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Pay

$120,000 - $140,000 per year.
