Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

The Forward Deployed Engineer operates at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering, helping enterprise customers bring frontier voice AI into production. This role is not traditional, focusing on hands-on technical execution from early discovery to go-live and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical closer, being in the room for every strategic deal to build what it takes to win.
• Deploy frontier models into production, getting your hands dirty with real integrations, infrastructure, and customer environments.
• Own the POC end-to-end, designing, building, and shipping production-quality proof-of-concepts quickly.
• Own the customer relationship technically, managing technical stakeholders from first demo through go-live and expansion.
• Turn what you build into product, identifying patterns across deals and contributing directly to the roadmap.

Requirements

• A builder who wants to be customer-facing, comfortable working directly with customers and engineers.
• Full-stack capability, able to ship clean, production-quality systems quickly and not precious about the stack.
• Deep comfort with APIs, SDKs, and cloud infrastructure in live customer environments.
• Energized by ambiguity, thriving in ambiguous environments with short timelines and high stakes.
• A sharp communicator who goes deep with engineers and clearly frames business value for executives.

Qualifications

• Experience with voice AI, TTS, speech, or real-time systems is a plus.
• Background working with ISVs, platforms, or developer ecosystems is beneficial.
• Familiarity with WebRTC, streaming, or low-latency systems is advantageous.

Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and API development.

Pay

$185,000 - $235,000 OTE
