About the role
This role is the first dedicated to the API product at Vector, a contact-level advertising platform. You will own the API product’s roadmap, reliability, and trajectory, working closely with engineering and leadership to prioritize features and build them yourself.
Responsibilities
- API product ownership: Prioritize and build features based on customer needs and product direction.
- Technical onboarding and integration support: Guide customers through implementation, troubleshoot issues, and build tools for repeatable onboarding.
- Developer enablement: Build and maintain resources for self-service and quick fixes for customers.
- Pre-sales technical scoping: Scope technical integrations during sales conversations, understanding the prospect's stack and defining the integration.
- Feedback loop to product and engineering: Surface patterns and provide insights to inform product and engineering decisions.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a technical role with meaningful customer-facing or product-facing exposure.
- Experience with ad tech, martech, or B2B marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with identity resolution, audience targeting, or data integration workflows.
- Experience building or maintaining SDKs, developer documentation, or API reference sites.
- Background working with TypeScript/Node.js, AWS, or data pipeline tooling.
- Experience working at a YC company or similar high-velocity early-stage environment.
- Experience as the first hire in a function and building from zero.
Qualifications
- Comfortable writing production-quality code.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical skills across backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and debugging.
- Ownership mindset: proactive in fixing or figuring out problems.
