Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Agents)

Responsibilities

• Embed with enterprise customers throughout the deployment lifecycle, taking ownership from discovery through to go-live and expansion.
• Work closely with customer stakeholders and internal engineering teams.
• Design and deploy AI agents into live customer environments.
• Build integrations using APIs, MCPs, scripts, and custom connectors.
• Connect AI agents with ERPs, internal platforms, spreadsheets, email, and business applications.
• Analyse and improve operational workflows before automating them.
• Led customer workshops and become a trusted technical advisor throughout delivery.
• Feed product insights back into engineering while helping develop reusable deployment frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years' commercial software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI or agentic systems into production.
• Strong Python development skills alongside JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL and REST APIs.
• Experience building MCPs, integrations and automation workflows.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG and modern AI frameworks.
• Industry experience across retail, e-commerce, CPG or supply chain operations.
• A consulting mindset with the ability to own projects from scoping through delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with senior customer stakeholders.
• Experience gained within a high-growth startup or consulting environment.
