Forward Deployed AI Engineer, United States - BCG X

About the Role

As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer at BCG X, you’ll be part of our rapidly growing engineering team, helping to build the next generation of AI solutions. You’ll partner with clients across various BCG regions and industries, tackling key topics like climate change, and design, build, and deploy innovative solutions. Additionally, you’ll develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities, publish papers, and lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.

Responsibilities

• Own the full analytics value-chain end-to-end: framing business challenges, designing algorithms, implementing and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling AI adoption.
• Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and papers.
• Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
• Collaborate with clients to design and build innovative AI solutions.

Requirements

• Apply software development practices and standards to create robust and maintainable software.
• Actively participate in every part of the software development life cycle.
• Guide non-technical teams and consultants in best practices for software development.
• Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment with direct client interaction.
• Collaborate in teams to share software design and solution ideas.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity across diverse industries and topics.
• Complete any degree programs (including part-time) before starting at BCG.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Passion for software development, large-scale data analytics, and transforming organizations into AI-led innovative companies.
• Ability to work within a reasonable commuting distance of your home office and travel to client sites as needed.

Pay

• Forward Deployed AI Engineer I: $110,000 USD
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer II: $145,000 USD
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer III: $160,000 USD
• Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer: $190,000 USD
