Responsibilities
- Own the full analytics value‑chain end to end: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI.
- Partner with clients in a variety of BCG regions and industries on topics such as climate change to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and papers, and lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
- Apply software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable software.
- Be actively involved in every part of the software development life cycle.
- Guide non‑technical teams and consultants in best practices for robust software development.
- Optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design.
- Collaborate in teams to share software design and solution ideas.
- Be a natural problem‑solver and intellectually curious across a breadth of industries and topics.
Skills
- Programming language: Python.
- Strong software development fundamentals.
- Experience with large‑scale data analytics.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment and interact directly with clients.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and work extended hours as needed.
Pay
- Forward Deployed AI Engineer I: $110,000 USD
- Forward Deployed AI Engineer II: $145,000 USD
- Forward Deployed AI Engineer III: $160,000 USD
- Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer: $190,000 USD
