Fortinet Network Security Professional (NSE4 Required)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fortinet Network Security Professional to support and maintain secure network infrastructure within a dynamic, onsite environment in Illinois. This role requires deep hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies and a strong foundation in network security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls and related security solutions
• Maintain network security infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime
• Implement and support SD-WAN, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS)
• Perform regular system updates, patching, and vulnerability management
• Troubleshoot network and security issues across multiple environments
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to enhance security posture
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and incident responses
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, etc.)
• Active NSE4 certification (or current equivalent within Fortinet certification track)
• Strong experience with firewall administration, network security, and threat mitigation
• Proven expertise in VPNs, routing, switching, and SD-WAN
• Ability to work onsite in Illinois (Chicago or airport-based location)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Fortinet certifications (e.g., FCP, FCSS)
• Experience in high-availability or mission-critical environments (e.g., transportation, healthcare, enterprise operations)
• Familiarity with cloud security integrations (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments)
• Experience with security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms
• Background in compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, or similar)
