Formulator Lead

About the role
Under direction of the Area Manager, the Formulation Lead is responsible for assisting on all duties related to the safe, profitable, environmentally sound and efficient operations of assigned Cost Center(s). Duties include working with and training personnel to operate manufacturing and packaging equipment, as well as overseeing all procedures involved in the production area. The Cost Center Lead ensures all employees follow all procedures, GMPs, Safety, and Quality plans, and ensures all employees are productive and competent in their respective roles.
- Assist with production reports (batch sheets, non-conformities, check sheets, lot alerts, daily reports, etc.)
- Encourage teamwork within the company
Responsibilities
- Work with and train personnel to operate manufacturing and packaging equipment
- Oversee all procedures involved in the production area
- Ensure all employees follow procedures, GMPs, Safety, and Quality plans
- Ensure employees are productive and competent in their roles
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Follow manufacturer’s specifications and directions
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day
- Perform on-the-floor training
Requirements
- 1+ years of continuous prior experience in the manufacturing industry
- Self-reliant and able to work accurately under limited supervision
- Customer-focused and able to work in a collaborative team
- Basic computer skills
- Established leadership skills
Qualifications
- Age: 18 years or older
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and perform basic math
- Critical thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and co-workers at all times without exception
- Time management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision
- Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes

Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods
- Working in environments where dust and chemicals are present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime
Pay
$29.15 per hour. Compensation may be adjusted upward based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
